Welcome to the London School of Systema.
In March 2000 a few like minded individuals got together to train in the Russian Martial Art of Systema, as being taught by Vladimir Vasiliev and Michael Ryabko. A few months later, after attending an intensive instructor course in Toronto, David Kirillov was certified as an instructor by Vladimir Vasiliev and so started the London School of Systema.
Every year the group is growing and getting stronger. There are too many people who contributed to the growth of the club to mention here, but we are grateful to all of you. But one big Thank You goes out to the Vasiliev and Ryabko families. Without their help progress would have been impossible.
This is a website for those who are interested in learning more about Russian Martial Art and its development in London. |

Pushkin House presentation of Systema
This will be a short presentation of Systema. It should happen at about 7 or 7.30pm for about one to one and a half hours and will include information relating to systema as well as some physical demonstration of a brief nature.
Please click
here for details.
Hope to see you there!
Together with Michael Ryabko and Konstantin Komarov we are working on an exciting series of monthly seminars that will be open to all experienced Systema practitioners. This training programme will focus on developing instructors, but will be of interest to everyone as we will approach the learning and the teaching of systema principles in a very structured way. The workload (for instructors and instructors in training) will be quite heavy, with homework session, video analysis, and practice teaching sessions. We will reveal the details of the programme shortly. Watch this space!
